  1. Christy - I am John Baker's grandson and have been doing some digging of my own and I believe this is the right Edward Baker - his marriage announcement to Elsie lists Mr. and Mrs. Otto Baker as the parents of Edward Baker. Also, the age is correct for Edward (he was born in 1906).

  2. Really!!! Oh thank you so much for this information. I have been trying to find out who he is for a very long time and you are an answer to a prayer. Could I get copy or picture of that wedding announcement. Thank you so much.

  3. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you - how would you like me to send it to you? It's a few scans of the McKenna County Democrat which talk about Elsie, Edward, J Alfred etc.

This is how I found the historic newspapers - just search for Edward Baker and you'll get all kinds of hits for both Edward and Elsie.

If you'd like - ask Donna or Barry to contact Jack and get them to put you in touch with me - I'd be happy to share anything else I find!

  5. This is awesome because I was able to find Otto and Nellie Baker on all the census and they were in Pennsylvania in 1920 so Edward and Elsie could meet and in 1930 they were in Gary Indiana the same time Edward and Elsie were there.
You can just send it to my email chrisrockz@hotmail.com Thanks so much for this info it really has been so wonderful.
